AlperLive – Commercial about music (short version)

This commercial was the part of an advertising campaign I made for my fictional company Alperlive that I had to promote for the 2nd grade workshop of portfolio at Plantijn College of Antwerp. In 2 hours time the production was completely ready after having the idea. I tried to get the consumer to remember what music meant rather than making one of those commercials that focus on selling the product. Back then, I didn’t know anything about consumer insights or picking up a strategy dependent on the market or consumer research results or competitors’ analysis or whatsoever. This was just because of the common sense that the consumers continiously started hating the “here I am, buy me” commercials. I don’t know if I would follow a different strategy now with my current knowledge and vision in marketing communications. Can’t say without strategic research. Using the generally accepted concept “music brings color into our lives” was meant to reach a wide target group, anyone for whom music means something, individual or company. Would I choose a specific target group now? Without doubt!! THE COMMERCIAL: Script & Cinematography: Alper Kasikci Directed & edited by: Alper Kasikci May 2007© (more)
