my friend and i are 14 and we like making short videos for youtube:
youtube.com/L0VE0UTL0UD17
we make them on movie mode on my digital camera, and we use windows movie maker
we really want to start making better and more advanced videos. we love the styles of:
youtube.com/supermac18
and
youtube.com/jennxpenn
we want a video camera that can do this with the color:

and how in this video there is a faded image of her while the rest of the video is going on:

and we like stop-motion videos..so a software/camera that will work with that.
also….reverse:

Honestly, your budget is all wrong. The camera doesn’t matter AT ALL. The only thing about the camera is that it has good frame rate, is portable and is high definition. I would Recommend the flip video:

Read some reviews first. It is cheap, portable, hd, good frame rate, and I could go on forever. The flip software however SUX and can’t exactly do much at all. Also it has a good battery level. The only problem with the camera itself is that it is easy to lose and gets wet and sometimes when you plug it into your computer the usb drive breaks but its an easy fix. Its what I use though.
The only thing that really matters in a video is the editing software you use. I use sony vegas pro 9.0.
The pro version is 500 dollars more than the regular… but I think its worth it by a long shot. If you looking for special effects its the way to go. You can do just about ANYTHING with it:

Im not sure if this is 100% legal, and i did not use this video, but I know somebody who did and uses vegas pro 9:

Remember, its not about the camera, its aaaaaalllll about the software.
