Windows Movie Maker won’t let me change the picture or transition time after dropping pics in time-line?

Question by Alleycat: Windows Movie Maker won’t let me change the picture or transition time after dropping pics in time-line?
When I drop all of my imported photos into the time-line at the bottom of Windows Movie Maker to make a slide-show with audio, the software will not let me shorten or lengthen the picture / transition time between pictures. I have tried to change the default time parameters that are located under Tools + Options + Advanced = picture duration / transition duration…nothing happens. Why would they even include this feature if it CAN ONLY BE SET BEFORE you drop your photos into the time-line? I mean, it is impossible to make the slide-show the same length of an audio track down below if you can’t edit the length of the slide-show post drop-in, right?!
I know how to do this manually, but that takes for ever if you have 30+ pictures in a slide-show.

I looked through many forums regarding this problem, and it looks like others are running into this problem. Can anyone shed some light on this subject please?☺☺☺
Thanks

why not use Photo DVD Maker? You just need to click one button to match video with audio.
And it has time-line to you can set transition time of each picture as you like.
