Why is the movie Titanic so flawless?

Question by Cindy: Why is the movie Titanic so flawless?
Fight Club is my favorite movie of all time, because it introduced to movies that makes me think and simply appreciate movies as great entertainment and a lot of the times – art.

However, I have to say Titanic is tied with it.

Fight Club and Titanic are the only two movies I can say are flawless and if anything was added/taken away it would be ruined.

when I put on Titanic before the credits even start, I BALL MY EYES OUT.

any movie with that much of an emotional impact upon a viewer is just amazing.

and I see that Jack and Rose’s story is the greatest love story even told, even if it’s fiction.

I have a boyfriend now, and just imagining your LOVER dead for the rest of your life is heartbreaking and in that movie you feel every emotion and everything that is going on. I can’t even see the acting.

A lot of people complain about it, but I just cannot see anything wrong. Not only is the (fictional) love story amazing, the tragedy about Titanic’s fate (fact) reveals many things, especially about society (classism).

All I wanna know is how you feel about the movie, and if you agree that it is flawless. I’m willing to hear anyone’s opinion if it’s negative, too.

I started watching it last night, drunk, and my class got cancelled this morning so I think I’ll decide to finish it! =)
Haha, just to clear up.. I didn’t watch it for the first time drunk! last night was the only time I watched parts of it drunk… doesn’t really change my perception of it. I loved it ever since I saw it like over 10 years ago.
I don’t necessarily think the movie depicts poor people being happy and rich people being miserable. At the lower class, they are used to being on the bottom and willing to unfortunately accept their fate. That is what they were taught by society to do. But there was also anger from (some of the men, I don’t know their names) of them not getting equal treatment and led them to force themselves up the deck. It further assures how some rich folk do not care about how they are basically killing others for getting first class treatment, but they have been used to that all their lives. Titanic, the movie, wasn’t meant to show classism and get the point across to its viewers, but moreso about the sinking of the ship, why it sank, and of course the love story between Jack and Rose.
