Why is it that in most Disney movies there isn’t a mother?

Question by Allie: Why is it that in most Disney movies there isn’t a mother?
Most of the time in the Disney movies there isn’t a mother for most of the characters. It is usually the father that is around because the mother has died. If the mother has been left & the father has died, the step mother is usually portrayed as wicked and mean;Snow White & Cinderella to name two.

Did Walt Disney have issues with his mother? Did he have a mother? Why are the movies the way they are or is it just the way they make movies so the main character ends up being the hero?

wow i have NEVER noticed that.
although i have noticed that all the fathers are dumb a**’s
