Avatar (the movie) has only been out for about a month, and it is already the #5 grossing movie. Why is it making so much money so quickly?

Is it because the movie is that good? Or is it because of the inflated (Over priced) ticket prices for the 3-D technology?

I believe that the movie is making that much money due to the extended ticket prices and if it wasn’t blessed with the 3-D tech, then it would be just a normal earning film. The plot and story is not that good.

Because too many people are all about the shiny things and not substance when it comes to movies.
