something that we can add our own cgi special effects as cheesy as they might be
We are looking for a program that would allow us to do the low effect quality of the youtube clips of people having light saber fights or the small cheesy but effective explosions, or options to blur particular elements out. Thats basically what we are looking for.

Window’s Movie Maker is surprisingly good for coming pre-installed on most windows computers, if you don’t have it you can always download it for free if you have windows.
Sony Vegas is also quite good if you want something a bit better, although this is not free. However there is a free trial you can use if you don’t need to have it for very long.
