Question by : What’s a decent, free app for capturing video segments from a DVD (for the sake of making remixed movies?)?
What’s a decent, free app for grabbing quick segments from a DVD, for sake of making YouTube videos with the clips? I don’t need a lot of bells and whistles, and the resolution really doesn’t matter. I’d just like to grab a couple video/audio clips from a dvd and work these into a different video with windows movie maker. Any suggestions of something free and easy to work with?

Thanks

This is to rip the dvd. Make sure you output it as iso.

This is to convert that iso to mp4 or avi or whatever. Use avi with xvid and mp3
http://handbrake.fr/

Use that after converting to cut the parts of the movie you want

O yea, to play it use this video player

This is a long process I know.
They free and no stupid trial or paid software is better.
