What should I do in this situation….. I don’t want to be around this man anymore!?

Question by : What should I do in this situation….. I don’t want to be around this man anymore!?
Okay, this won’t be the shortest question, but I need answers.

So my best friend’s dad, Eric, is extremely mean. He knows how much I disagree with alcohol. Like, I guess it’s okay for a beer every once in a while, but like drinking tons is totally beyond me. So I’m 13. Let me say before you guys freak, that alcohol has never touched my mouth and I don’t want it to. Well every time I’m over, Becky, my friend’s mom, holds off on wine or anything else until we’re in bed. But Eric drinks, I mean A LOT, every time I’m over. Like he’ll get out a bottle of whiskey and a shot glass and drink shot after shot after shot, sitting right in front of me.

This guy is obsessed with war. He constantly babbling about the military and saying FAKE things about it. He was never in the military, yet my dad was in the Air Force, but nooooo, Eric knows way more than my dad. He tells my friend all about the awful things they did to the Jewish people in World War 2 in great detail. 0_0 Sarah’s mom (Sarah is my friend) asked her what she wanted to be when she was older. Eric shoved ‘The Bluejacket’s Manual” in Sarah’s hands and told her to pick a job from there, even though I know Sarah does not want to go into the military, but she’d rather start an Urgent Care here and be a doctor.

He constantly screams at his children for the smallest things. He claims he’s a Christian, but he does NOT do Christian things, he refuses to come to church on Sundays with the rest of the family, and he’s constantly cursing at people.

The thing is, he’s gotten more comfortable and started screaming at ME.

So Sarah and her little brother, John, were on the couch. I was sitting on the floor. We were watching a movie. John had a chicken sandwich in his hand. Well I watched it and him and Sarah turned into each other, causing John to drop his chicken sandwich. But Sarah helped him clean it up AND she made him a new chicken sandwich. But of course Eric stuck his butt in it. He first came upstairs and screamed from across the room at Sarah,
“Why did you make him drop his sandwich?”

“It was an accident, I didn’t mean to.”

“GO TO YOUR ROOM!”

Sarah went to her room. I didn’t know what to do but I didn’t want in the same room as Eric, so I just followed her. She layed down on the bed and started crying so much she couldn’t talk. I tried comforting her but I couldn’t. We heard him screaming at John. Then he marched upstairs to Sarah’s room.

“What. Happened.”

Sarah was crying so much none of us could understand her words, so I explained.

“Well, you see, it wasn’t anyone’s fault. I watched it. Sarah and John just happened to turn at the same time and John dropped his sandwich. But we cleaned it up and made him a new-”

“I don’t want to hear it!”

“Okay?” I was kind of confused.

“So tell me what happened!”

“Sarah and John just turned at the same time. That’s all.”

“DON’T COACH HER!!!!!!!!!!!” He screamed and punched the wall, and he had obviously been drinking.

“Sarah, YOU ARE TO STAY IN THIS ROOM THE REST OF TODAY WITH FRED!!”

So we both just started crying. I realize now that I should have punched the big crappin’ butt right in the nuts.

Anyway, I really don’t want to go back over to my friend’s house, but she’s constantly begging and pleading for me to come. I don’t know what I am supposed to do! Most of the time, she always says we ‘go to my house!’ and she wants me to go to her house. AHHHH!
