What is the best video editing program to make youtube videos?

Question by thestartobe: What is the best video editing program to make youtube videos?
I’ve recently gotten into making youtube videos, like fan videos for movies and fandoms as such. What’s the best, free program to use? Please don’t say Windows Movie Maker, and I have AVS, but I only have the trail version and that annoying red text is in the middle of the screen.

So are some good, free programs I could use?

Sony Vegas 8 or 9 by far.

My YouTube account name is http://www.youtube.com/user/Whatevrmakesyoubreak. Just compare my videos from 2008 when I used Corel Video Studio and Movie Maker compared to recently with Sony Vegas. It takes awhile to get used to, but it is an amazing program once you grasp it. Just download the program’s free trial from the official website then use a keygen to make it official 🙂
