What is good Video editing software for windows?

Question by Tori: What is good Video editing software for windows?
I have windows vista. and i enjoy making small skit videos. Right now i currently use Windows Movie Maker as my source for editing videos and adding in transitions and effects. but is there anything else that is free and better.
or if you know where i can download add-ons for Movie Maker it would be much appreciated.

windows movie maker is just fine. anything better will cost you money
