Video editing?

Question by Bon Appetit: Video editing?
I am looking for a video editing software for my pc, i want to edit home movies, put in effects and make them look good but windows movie maker stinks, is there anything as good as imovie on a mac???

I too am looking for some more professional movie makers. However, the Movie Maker with Windows isn’t completetly useless, especially on Vista (it even supports High Definition files!).

I know that ULEAD have a decent range, and Sony Vegas Movie Studio is meant to be quite popular as well.

Sorry about not being able to help much, I don’t think you can get much better for free. You could try a free 30 day trial of ULEAD Mediasudio, which I find superb. However, it does cost about £100 for the full version. The Videostudio version should be much cheaper. I don’t like Vegas, but I like Windows Movie Maker, so don’t trust my opinion too much.
