Catch episode seven for more people powered change. In North Yorkshire, a group of eighty villagers and ninety of their friends have set up the Hudswell Community Pub co-operative. The George and Dragon, which stood empty for almost two years, is back as a centre of social life for the village. Not only this but the land at the rear of the pub has been developed into community allotments and there is a village library in the pub too! In Merseyside, a group of secondary school pupils and their inventive teacher have designed a habitat box that accommodates both bats and birds, now successfully selling over 1000 boxes to organisations up and down the country. UK360 found out why the Savy Bat or bird box project has proven so successful and why many people, including members of the royal family, are fans of this intriguing social enterprise. Two people affected by pancreatic cancer set themselves the extraordinary challenge to swim the Southampton Solent, run around the Isle of Wight and swim back again in just three days.
