Happy New Creative Year
making a short movie

This shot opens my 2009.

The New Year’s resolution is: making a short movie. But I want to make a good one. So I’m going to start from the beginning.

Do you remember the most famous movie by Lumieres Brothers, L’arrivée d’un train a La Ciotat (1895)? It’s very important ’cause it started to explicate the grammar of cinema. For example, the different kind of shots, from the long take to the close-up shot. All in a simple take. Nice. 🙂

I want to keep visual, not only story and dialogues.

On the background: some notes taken reading a very nice direction book.

Happy new year.
