Yay for HD video!

So this stop-motion movie I made is basically just to test out the HD function on Flickr. Of course, I got way to into the whole deal and ended up making a whole "movie" out of it, if you could call it a movie.

I would call this a stop-motion animation of random stuff in my room. There isn’t really a story line or anything so just bear with me and watch the whole thing. You will get to see me making some … interesting … faces, to say the least, as well as a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 mounted on a Nikon D40, which looks pretty funny. Hah.

Anyways, the "story line", goes like so:

There’s a traffic jam – the cars get out of the jam – a car swerves out of control trying to avoid a wall made of money – a massive pile up is caused and the money wall is knocked over – the money wall gets mad – the cars try to blend in with their surrounding by changing colors – the money wall eats the cars – the money wall eats some more cars – the 1$ bill turns into a 5$ bill as a result of "eating dinner" – a person picks up the 5$ bill – the person buys a pair of sunglasses – EPICALLY RANDOM MONTAGE OF MY FACE – some planes are flying through the air (first thing I thought of when I put on the aviators) – I trade the sunglasses for a Rolleiflex 2,8F TLR – lens caps take themselves off – I take a picture (not actually, [I’m out of film]) – I trade the TLR for a matted print of Yosemite (taken by me :P) – I hang the print on my wall – I trade the print for an iPod – I refuse to give myself the earphones – I ask for the earphones, or else… – EPICALLY RANDOM MONTAGE OF MY FACE – I play Bejewled on my iPod – SHAKE TO SHUFFLE! – I trade the iPod for a Robosapien – the robot jumps goes and steals the hood from the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 – the Robosapien wears the hood like a crown – the Robosapien is chllin’ out and the D40 come for the hood – EPIC BATTLE – the D40 take the hood back – End of lame story!

Here is some of the technical info of the video:

– Photos taken with a Nikon D80
– Total of 1,445 frames
– 15 frames per second
– compressed in QuickTime Pro
– Edited in iMovie ’09

Starting early, “Season of the Witch,” goes for worst film of the year
Posted: Saturday, January 8, 2011 6:15 pm | Updated: 2:39 pm, Mon Jan 10, 2011. Sometimes filmmakers just get lazy, and often this leads to some truly bad films. The most recent example is this weekend’s “Season of the Witch,” starring Nicholas Cage and Ron Perlman.
