Skyrim: Rags to Riches – Olaf’s Diary, Days 33 – 36: When last we saw Olaf, he was alone in the woods, facing the claws of an angry bear. Worse yet, he had ran out of ass-arrows, with only his rusty dagger to protect him. Can he escape? This is Rags to Riches, being a tale of Olaf, the simple Nord vagabond who dreams of earning enough to coin to purchase the most expensive house in Skyrim. Unfortunately he can’t fight monsters, won’t do quests and he can’t cast spells. As we’ve said so many times, he is a simple man. And because many of you have asked, here’s a full FAQ on how the non-adventures of Olaf from series creator @ultrabrilliant: 1. You need to complete a quest to buy Proudspire Manor in Solitude. Won’t that break Olaf’s no questing rule? Correct, you have to complete ‘The Man Who Cried Wolf’ to become Thane and buy the house. To do this, we’ll hire a mercenary from an inn and cower in the shadows while they clear out the enemies for us. Problem solved! As for the other required quest, ‘Elisif’s Tribute’, that’s a simple delivery quest, and Olaf will be able to handle it himself. 2. You haven’t eaten for [X] amount of days! I’ve been playing as Olaf for almost 20 hours, and we’ve only done a handful of ten-minute diaries so far.
