Sanyo 1080p digital movie camera trouble with Movie maker?

Question by icequeenheiress2012: Sanyo 1080p digital movie camera trouble with Movie maker?
Hi I’ve been using Windows Movie Maker for awhile now and I’ve never had any problems with it until now. For Christmas, I got a sanyo 1080p digital movie camera. I think it’s also called VPC-HD100. Anyways when I import the videos into movie maker, the screen where my video should be is black. The audio is there, when its playing I can hear the audio but there is no video. My grandparents paid a lot of money on this camera for me and I really don’t want to hurt their feelings by saying that its no use if I can’t make my videos. Can anyone help me? PLEASE:)

The problem is that Windows Movie Maker doesn’t support all file types, it’s not your camcorders fault. Windows Movie Maker has not kept up with technology.

WMM supports video files asf, avi, dvr-ms, m1v, mp2, mp2v, mpe, mpeg, mpg, mpv2, wm,and wmv

You will have to convert. http://www.handbrake.fr/ is a free converter.

Get some better software to avoid this problem.
