In this lesson, we meet the Hebrew alphabet for the first time. We learn that the Hebrew alphabet has a very long history. In fact, the Western (Latin) alphabet and the Hebrew alphabet have the same origin. In our lessons, we talk about this development and show how it all started from a drawing of a picture that represented a word, which subsequently evolved into all Latin scripts. From here we learn our first 8 letters: ל/מ/נ/ר, and also the gutturals א/ה/ח/ר.
