Lieutenant Suraj Dutt has been in the Indian army for years. He takes leave to meet his father, Retired Colonel Yashpal Dutt and sister Minni. On the way, he rescues some school children held hostage by a group of armed men. The media turns him in a hero and he meets Alka and both fall in love with each other. Alka and Suraj get married and shortly he leaves his pregnant wife to re-join duty at the border. His father soon gets the news that he is missing, believed dead. What will happen now?
