Q&A: What’s a good digital camera to shoot a movie on?

Question by phillip k slick: What’s a good digital camera to shoot a movie on?
Me and some people are very serious about making a horror movie, I got the script, I finished writing it a week ago, but we know nothing about making movies, so the first thing I want to know is what’s a good digital camera to shoot a movie on?I want digital because I like the look when it’s done right and I read that film eats a lot out of a budget.

It’ll take time to get all our ducks in a row so the rest we’ll learn as we go and study as much as we can before hand.

Unless you rent a digital video camera, your budget will be blown if you buy a digital video camera.

Better see if you can find a Canon XL-1 in good condition and use it. It produces broadcast quality video and can be later edited and saved to a DVD during post.
