Q&A: Looking for a better Movie Editing Software than Windows Movie Maker?

Question by blahh: Looking for a better Movie Editing Software than Windows Movie Maker?
I have been making movies lately on Windows Movie Maker Version 5.1, I am wanting to get a better movie editing software… 1 because i am sick of the simple boring features and want to improve my movies, and 2 (the main reason) i brought a Sony DCR-SX40 handycam and did not realize WMM didn’t support the video file types.

So does anyone have any links to good Movie editing software that support my handycam and are either free or cheap and i can download?

Well that went well.. NOT!
I read somewhere that on the start menu of. My computer u go into help and support and download updates… I am now on my iPod touch writing this because my computer has completly crashed!!! And I have continuosly tryed and it isn’t working!!! HELP

Sony Vegas Pro is by far one of the best, if not the best, editing software out there.
