Q&A: In the New Moon movie…?

My friend just told me he was listening to BLI this morning and they were discussing the making of new moon. Apparently they said that theyre not having Edward go away to Italy for most of the time as he does in the book, and that he’s still going to be there, just not with Bella. Does anyone know if this is true?
