For a school project, I have to make a news broadcast. I do have Windows Movie Maker, but it is not really helpful to make advanced graphics like news tickers, news title bars, layered logos, etc. Does anybody know a freeware video editing program that could help? It has to be good and free. Thanks!

Okay.
You will need a compatible camera.
Linux.
Ice cast/geek cast.
Gimp,paint, inkscape for back grounds and effects.
test out the camera and make a basic cast for others to see.
