Q&A: How to burn a MovieMaker movie/file to a dvd to play in home dvd player.?

Question by chichipoo: How to burn a MovieMaker movie/file to a dvd to play in home dvd player.?
I tried to add this info onto my previous posted question, but it wouldn’t let me. I just want everyone to know the answer to this question!!. (Don’t know what all the mystery is about..it was exteremly difficult to ferret out the simple answer that no’one seemed to be able to just spell out. YES..you need to convert the file (wmv or DV-AVI) to mpeg2..but the next step is crucial. You need a dvd ‘authoring’ program, which further converts your file to VOB (video object) file, which THEN will play in your dvd player. I bought Cucusoft Pro for $ 29.00 (very fair price) AND it does it all. You simply import your finished movie file, and it does the file conversion, dvd authoring, & the dvd burning…very fast and efficient. Good luck everyone, and happy movie making!
It seems people aren’t noticing this was NOT a question, but a SOLUTION to my previous question. I don’t need more suggestions, thanks anyway. Just wanted people to know they need a DVD ‘AUTHORING’ program, ‘authoring’ being the key word…and VOB being the correct final file type for dvd players. Thanks : )
How frustrating!!! Are we speaking the same language…or are these answers computer generated? Thanks Melie for your answer, which I already referenced as solution in my post. But it’s the fact that it FURTHER converts that file to VOB format which is my point. ANY ‘converting/authoring’ program which does this will work.

If you want to burn any movies to DVD, then play it well on any DVD player, there is an easy way and the better choice, i have used RZ DVD Creator, it can create standard video DVD from any videos, it can burn mulit videos to one disc, it can auto fit the size, it can directly convert and burn any videos to DVD(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-DL, DVD+DL, etc), such as avi to DVD, wmv to DVD, etc.

Work well on my computer, good quality, easy to use, i like it, following is a step by step guide about Video DVD Creator:
