Q&A: Best way to get my screenplay read?

Question by plasticsoul3: Best way to get my screenplay read?
I’m just out of high school. I’ve lost all interest in college. I’m finishing up a screenplay right now. I’m confident enough in my writing capabilities. I think I know enough about script formatting(from what I’ve read online and from reading produced scripts). I’m just worried(rightfully so) about getting an agent, editor, selling my screenplay etc. Another thing I’m wondering about is the best way to copyright and protect my work.

Any advice?

Also, I’m looking for a good script sharing site to get some feedback.

Never share your work before you’ve been paid and or copyrighted the original. How can you proof yours was the first and his/hers the second (copy), or vice versa. The first part of your question is more difficult. Even telling you about it, will be difficult and complicated. Find someone in the industry and ask him/her. It depends on where you live too…. in my town you have less chance of selling your work than getting pregnant from an empty beer can.
Peace.
