Parkway Drive – Five Months (guitar cover)

I tuned my Washburn X50 Pro FE to drop B (that’s the low E tuned down 2.5 steps, and the rest of the strings tuned down 1.5 steps) so I could jam along with some Parkway Drive. This is one of my favorite songs from their album “Horizons”. This song was actually a bit harder for me than I thought it would be, because my alternate picking across strings is a bit sloppy. However, I think I got it down pretty good. There’s a cool little solo near the end of the song. YouTube is automatically applying compression (WAY too much) to the audio, making it sound like crap IMO. It is also making the audio and video go a bit out-of-sync. The original video file sounds great and plays perfectly in-sync on my computer, so it’s out of my control. :/ One thing that helps is to click the “high quality” link below the video. This song was relatively easy to transcribe by ear, but I have to thank musicman1066 for pointing out a few mistakes in my original transcription. He has aa great ear. As always, I’m recording directly to my computer through a Line 6 POD 2.0. The tab is now available on my website. It has also been accepted at Ultimate-Guitar. Please rate my tab on UG (it’s the ver2 Guitar Pro tab). Enjoy! www.killrbuckeye.com You will also find information on my gear, recording method, playing history, etc. on the site.
