My gs250 came with a usb connection and software for uploading and video editing. The software(Motion Dv Studio)is actually pretty good and works for splicing and even titles and much more — really more than I expected for included software.

I found this a review of your model on camcorderinfo.com:
“Editing (8.0)
Editing from MiniDV is easy, and any program – from the simple iMovie to Final Cut Pro and beyond – will readily accept the format via the USB or DV connection. This is far more flexible a medium than in DVD camcorders, which often require the manufacturer’s proprietary software in order to edit the footage.”

I found this open source video editing software called jashaka which is really rocks, but it is somewhat complicated getting up to speed. But, heck it’s free and does a lot of the same stuff as really expensive, professional software.

I’m just not sure if it will handle the upload from your pv-gs19.

Good luck — look forward to seeing your videos on youtube.
