I’m making a dvd for me and my friends but what I want to do is have an opening scene at the beginning of the movie (before the main menu) with an introduction movie. I know how to do that with idvd already but I need help making the intro movie. I want to add transitions that imovie does not have. Like the transitions in microsoft powerpoint for example. I need to be able to make those transitions and then be able to open it up in imovie (btw I have a mac and a windows). Are there any programs I can use that would be good for making movies and special effects with clips or can someone explain to me how to do this. Thanks 🙂
Oh yes and if I have to buy something please suggest something reasonably affordable. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on things like this.

Well the most basic one is Windows movie maker… if you want something more advanced then try Adobe After Effects… that really rocks! But is kind of tough so u might have to get help from its tutorials that can be found online.
