newspaper article in 1956. Sharp has perpetuated and celebrated Stace’s work and message, and the ‘Eternity’ image has appeared in many of his works, including a poster celebrating Sydney’s Haymarket area, and a large canvas that first appeared in the Oxford Street window of a Sydney store in 1990. During the millennium celebrations in 2000, the Sydney Harbour Bridge was lit up with the word “Eternity”, as a tribute to the legacy of Arthur Stace made popular by Martin Sharp.
Sharp’s work has been celebrated in many exhibitions including a special Yellow House retrospective at the Art Gallery of NSW.
