Looking for a camera to make a movie for independent studies?

Question by Believeinblack: Looking for a camera to make a movie for independent studies?
Next year I’m taking an Independent studies course at my school and I need a camera. I don’t want the movie to look terrible so I’m interested in finding a cheap digital video camera that has a microphone and such that I can attach filters to. I’ll only be able to afford one that’s around $ 300 though so I was wondering if there is one out there. It doesn’t have to have a lot of features or anything, I just need it to be able to record sound as well as take a semi professional looking video. I don’t want it to end up looking like a school project.
