Is my anger warranted?

Question by Please, don’t ask: Is my anger warranted?
Well, I had this project for school. It was basically to read a book and make something to accompy it — a poster, board game, movie trailer, etc. I have decent graphic design skills, so I decided I would do the poster. Well, I spent about 4-5 hours on my design. I get my project; I got 40/60. I was shocked, so I talked with teacher. She raised it 3 points (I know, 3 points?!). When I talked to her she said I put no great effort into it. Apparently, people who glued and cut things out put more effort into it. I don’t consider that effort. I consider that exactly what it is — cutting and gluing. I would have understanded if she gave me a 50/60. It wasn’t my best work, but I worked very hard. Mine actually looked like a movie poster for my book. However, the posters that look nothing like movie posters got better grades. I think I succeeded in making a movie poster for my book I think there’s a general lack of appreciation for graphic designers. Do you think I’m wrong for being angry?

she probably wanted more effort in the thought. while i’m sure your final prduct was better, she probably wanted more than just a poster. i’m sure the games and collages got the best scores. and it’s not anything you should be mad at, but yeah, most people don’t know how difficult things like a simple java cartoon (hours and hours for the tiniest animation)or graphic design in general is.
