I hadn’t even heard of this lady until recently. Apparently she’s French, but she learned some Hindi, so she got cast as a lead actress in a Bollywood movie.
Now everyone’s talking about her!
So is it a good idea to recommend my white American female friends to learn Hindi?
That way, you can make millions of dollars just by speaking Hindi (badly) in a movie?

Sounds like a great idea— but: to be successful you have to be in the right place at the right time. And have the look that they are looking for. Some people manage to luck out, but for the rest of us, it’s hard work.
It’s also easier being the first, but if you are the 50th pretty foreign lady, it will be much more difficult and more competition.
