I have a Dell laptop that is a little old but gets the job done. I needed a netbook so that I can do simple word processing, wireless and that i can take easily around for my home based business. I was looking at the Acer Aspire notebook and the Asus Eee notebook. Which is better?

Which one is better? Should i get one of these or just go with a normal laptop? My budget is $ 300.

Here are the differences that matter

Processor speed. Laptop 1 = 1.6GHz, Laptop 2 = 900MHz
Because of this, laptop 2 is automatically out.. don’t buy it.

Other things to note:
There is no disk drive in either notebook.. meaning there is no place to put CD’s or anything.

The screen size is VERY small.. 8.9″ is smaller than you think.

The webcam on each of them is basically unusable.. the picture is going to be a VERY low quality.

So.. if you are choosing between these two mini laptops.. then go with # 1 without a doubt. Laptop #2 is WAY WAY WAY slower.
