I desperately need advice. ?

Question by DreamLoveBelieve: I desperately need advice. ?
I am a 22 year old “junior” in college. No, I didn’t start college late, I actually started it early, during high school. I’m not a poor student, I make good grade when I apply myself. My problem is that I don’t have a clue what to major in.
I love artsy and cultural topics. I really enjoy writing and would love to make a movie one day. I don’t want to major in creative writing because it isn’t a very marketable degree and I fear the same for a film degree.
My goal in life is to publish a hand full of books make a couple of movies and retire to owning a book/coffee shop. I realize that this life plan is a romantic one and I know that unless I’m great money won’t be abundant in these professions.
I have no problem working odd jobs until I make it as long as they are interesting ones. I have no want to work a nine to five job in some cubicle at any point in my life.(I can if I have to, but really don’t want to.)
I’m thinking of majoring in communications so that I have a marketable degree, but class have just started and I’m already bored. Should I suck it up and stick with this plan, or should I try to get into a good film school and see what happens, or should I do something completely different? Any advice, as long as it is appropriate, will be helpful.
I already have my basic classes done.
Also, what college would suit me best? I’m currently attending a very boring college that offers the basics.
I also really want to study abroad so any colleges with great study abroad programs would be great.

Take your basic classes first (math, writing..etc) and think about it for a while. You could always go for more than one thing.
