I am looking for software to converting Video_TS to AVI?

Question by Marty: I am looking for software to converting Video_TS to AVI?
Must be simple, easy. Freeware? The Video_Ts file is the one i get off my DVD recorder when I record something. Then I want to make it into an avi on my computer. Any ideas?
I am also looking for something that rips a DVD movie to avi in 1 shot. Please any ideas? Thanks

Freeware and NOT simple is SUPER but it does absofrigginlutely everything.
Freeware and simple is makemkv which converts vob to mkv and i think also avi (mkv is very similar to avi in terms of encoding)
ripping some dvds would require dvdrip (due to encryption) which is free but hard to obtain.
