How to make lyric videos on mac?

Question by : How to make lyric videos on mac?
Yesterday I was making lyric videos with Windows Movie Maker on my PC. I really liked it so I want to make more, with my laptop. I tried to do it on my macbook using iMovie and it was hard. I can see how iMovie would be much better than WMM for movies, but for lyric videos it is very hard. For example on WMM I had 2 timelines, one for background, one for the captions and one for the audio. With iMovie the timeline has them all on top of eachother, and for timing the slides, I have to type in the time after like 3 clicks, whereas on WMM I could just drag them. Is there anything I am missing? If not, are there any software that I can do what I want? I am willing to pay.

Maybe you can do with slide shows I believe.
