How to make Eggnog

Jack Scalfani shows his Christmas spirit with a simple Eggnog recipe. Here is the recipe: Ingredients: 6 large eggs 3/4 cup vanilla sugar (or 3/4 sugar and 1/3 tsp of vanilla extract) 1 quart half and half (half milk / half cream) 1 cup brandy 2 cups dark rum ( I only did 1 cup and it was perfect) nutmeg in a large bowl, beac eggs until pale yellow and slightly frothy. Add sugar and half and half and stir until well blended. Add brandy and rum and stir. Transfer to a large pitcher and chill for at least 3 hours. Vanilla Sugar recipe is this: I vanilla bean split lengthwise I cup of sugar put vanilla bean inside sugar inside a sealed container for at least 2 days to allow vanilla to infuse sugar with flavor. Done.
