I want to put picturse of my son up in movie maker and add a special song. I have no experience with making movies.Could someone give me the basics.

Sounds like you want to make a slideshow.

This can be done simply by importing (File–>Import into Collections) your photos and then dragging and placing them in the correct order in your storyboard.

Once you’ve done that, click “Show Timeline” and all you need to do is import your music file and drag it down to the timeline. You may need to tweak it a little to match the length of your song and make other small edits/transitions and that will just take a little time to get used to.

Otherwise, that’s about it. Just go to File–>Save Movie File when you’re done and it’ll take a few minutes to convert. Good luck and have fun!
