How to add flair to an home movie….?I have a whole load of footage from a class trip abroad (you know the drill, us being general idiots) and I’m trying to make a film out of it (to music, I’m hoping)

Has anyone an tips on adding flair to a home movie? If it helps, I’m using corel videostudio 2010.

Cut the different clips up a bit and mix them around so that it seems more interesting. Choose music that matched the situation and the trip. If there is a particular line in the song that you are using that reminds you of a certain clip, put that clip over that line so that others can make the connection. Another thing that you can do is to add captions along the bottom of the screen when the film is playing. It could be a comment on what is happening in the video or just a funny observation. When you choose the music to go under the movie, make sure that it is not really load or detracting, if you can choose something that isn’t that well known, this will be enough to complete the movie without detracting the people from the actual video to sing along with the music. If the music that you choose had a distinctive beat make the clips change on the beat so that it feels complete and smooth.

Hope that helps!
