ok so like how much would this movie cost like me and my friend thought of a crazy good horror movie and we wanted to know how much it would cost to start it like who would we call? i mean obviosly we dont got millions but like could it work that we pay someone money then if the movie takes off the actors and all get money of the profit from the movie or like how would it work? how much would we need?

you would need to pitch the movie to a studio or a producer. they hold all the money. most major movies nowadays are over $ 1000000 budget and indie films are around $ 100000.
i suggest making a short indie film that sums up what u wanna create and show it in a film fest, it cost less and gets you known by some producers into making it a full length film
thats what happened to movies like “9” and “Saw”
the “9” short was nominated for an Academy Award for best short animation (lost to pixar) and both can been seen on youtube
