How much do you think Apple pays to promote it’s brand?

Question by Michael S: How much do you think Apple pays to promote it’s brand?
I mean, it’s everywhere. Product placement in TV shows, movies, and magazines.

They even have some Apple employees that work fulltime to promote their stuff on the web.

Such as “Buy a Mac” answers on Y!, or comments that say “I love Macs” in comment areas. It’s crazy – considering Mac’s low marketshare.

So Apple does pay people of course, to get their products in.

So how much do you really think Apple pays to influence people’s decisions?

I’m thinking around $ 4 billion tops.

It’s sad to see a company having to resort to making Macs seem like a grass-roots phenomenon in pop culture when it’s not.

So how much do you think Apple spends on marketing?

Tons – those dirty rotten scammers.

Apple is so overrated. It’s so sad.

Some of their stuff is nice, but most of it is eye candy.

I’m guessing they spend $ 2.5 billion.
