How do you create a sine wave video effect?

Question by keith of keithZworld: How do you create a sine wave video effect?
This is what i mean:

Its an animation that shows your voice. I need to put one into a YouTube video. How do I make my own. I use iMovie, which is the editing software that is used on Mac (apple)

Please note: I am using an Apple iMac computer so I don’t have Windows Movie Maker or Sony Vegas.

Personally, I use Final Cut Pro
