Hallelujah Chorus – GF Handel – Organ & MIDI Recorded using Roland A30 & SCPOP Software

Hallelujah Chorus – GF Handel, this piece was pre-recorded using my old MIDI System ( Musical Instrument Digital Interface ) I had before purchasing the Digital Organ you see in the video ( Viscount – Vivace Model 20 ). I used SCPOP Software ( Sound Canvas Pipe Organ Project ). I had Two Roland A-30 Keyboards with a Roland Sound Canvas Module ( SC-8850 ) and I used Cake Walk Pro9 for recording and editing. You can see the PC Screen in the background which I have to use to transmit the MIDI messages to the Organ. Unfortunately because I was not using a high enough resolution, there are not enough frames per second in the video and my hands appear out of sink at times with the music. Also, my processor is not fast enough to record on Windows Movie Maker while I am using a Webcam and X-Itel Audio, too much information at once for my Computer. I am playing some accompainment and the vocal parts live in the performance, while many parts were pre-recorded using layers. I haven’t figured out how to transfer the MIDI Messages to both keyboards yet on this Organ, but I am sure I will soon. For now, it is only on the Swell and I am coupling some of the voices and the Strings are on the Great ( live ). I might make another version and use Two Computers and see if that helps – the audio isn’t that bad in this performance and change the Tempo to 88, I was using 92 in the performance. Enjoy !
