good movie making software?

Question by Em: good movie making software?
I really wanted to but imovie until i found out it doesnt work on the dell inspiron mini which is what i have, so i want a movie making software that is similar and has a reasonable price and will actually work on my computer. i love making videos now i just need some cool software. thanks for the help
i dont like windows movie maker because it is too plain, i want more cool efects like imovie has
