Free Movie Making software?

Question by francescmore: Free Movie Making software?
I want to find some movie making software that works well with still photos and music, but also works well with video. I want to find a trial version that works well before I invest money into an expensive software that I will not like. I know that cnet.com has lots of free software but I don’t know which one to try. I am running windows xp. Any suggestions.

WAX is known as top for many years. It’s almost like a free version of those high priced editors like Sony Vegas and Premiere.
