Does anybody know a good Movie Making program?

Question by jsj_rules: Does anybody know a good Movie Making program?
I’ve tried Windows Movie Maker and it’s allright I guess, but it has certain disadvantages. For example it won’t let me edit .avi files only Windows files. Also it’s not really professional; the effects I can add are limited. If anybody knows a good, free, better quality program it would be greatly appreciated.
