Do you really think it’s in everyone’s best interest to moderate your Q & A on Y!Answers?

Question by dr.fibonacci: Do you really think it’s in everyone’s best interest to moderate your Q & A on Y!Answers?
There has been much talk, as of late, as to what types of content are appropriate for Y!Answers, and to the frequency of “false reports”.
I believe some moderation is necessary in any public forum. It is the degree of moderation that is in question here. Simply put, moderation is to control, to reduce, or to soften. Too much moderation would border on censorship.
The Q & A on Y!A should consist of facts, truths, opinions, speculations, and inferences. We are all familiar with the saying, “The truth hurts”. Since truths are the emotional extension of facts, there are bound to be some “heated” responses and passionate rebuttals. If you ask a question that is based on opinion or speculation, then you are asking for an opinion, a confirmation, or a rebuttal. You shouldn’t report a Q or A simply because you disagree. Conflict is what makes a movie good, or a book compelling. I think personal attacks, foul language, and solicitation should be reported. How do you feel about this?
