I am using widnows xp,the movie maker in my pc i think is an older version & it does not support any popular video formats.
Have microsoft upgraded it?Is there any newer version of movie maker availabale which supports most formats?’
If not windows movie maker then can u tell me any other software as good as windows movie maker with the help of which i can make movies & it should support .dat format & most other formats too?

Or is there any software with the help of which i can convert my .dat files into other formats which are supported by my movie maker like avi.?
