Ever wanted to do some chroma key effects, but don’t have the 0-0 for the expensive software and even more for the hardware? (lighting, green screen, etc) Well, I have a test video that I just made that was chromo key and I did this for under ! What you need is: – Windows Movie Maker 6 (free with Vista, but you can download it if you run Windows 7) Price – FREE – ShaderTFX addon for WMM 6 Price – .00 (AND money well spent!) get it at www.rehanfx.org – 4-6 pieces of large light green construction paper (lime green preferably) Price – .89 each – A place to tack the construction paper (I had to boy a large cork board) Price for me .99 – A desk lamp I bought from the Salvation Army for .49 for lighting Plus you need to download any background (static or dynamic (video) will work.) I’ll post my first video test here to show you that even poor slobs like us can do chromo key videos without breaking the bank. This weekend I’ll post a tutorial video.
