Question by Cameron Yang: Best videogame protagonist ever?
Now I loved Half Life 2, the atmosphere, script, dialogue and gameplay was amazing. Yet I wasn’t sold on the mute scientist, Dr. Freeman. Sure, much more humble than an armored Spartan, but still lacked in charisma. Who do you think was the best protagonist or antagonist in videogame history. I nominate John Marston from Red Dead Redemption, he really surprised me. I thought he would be another GTA stereotyped gangtsa (except for Niko, I liked Niko), but Marston really left an emotional impact on the screen.
Please tell me who you thought should be crowned as number one.

Best answer:

Answer by Zay-el
Shephard from the Mass Effect series
Raziel from the Legacy of Kain series(hero status slighty questionable at times)
